Progressive Farmers from Assam underwent one week intensive training at Institute of Horticulture Technology, Greater Noida on “Modern Horticulture Production Technologies for Enhancing Productivity”. Thirty Five Farmers along with two accompanying officers underwent intensive training programme from 2.8.2017- 04.08.2017 at Institute of Horticulture Technology in Greater Noida, during which the farmers were delivered interactive lectures by the experts, Scientists and industry persons. The farmers worked on various modern technologies such as Drip irrigation, Fertigation, Protected Cultivation, Plug Tray Nursery Production, High Density Plantation and various other Technologies like Soil solarization, Vermicomposting and Orchid production. All Farmers were given oppurtuninty to practice Hands on Training and to take part in demonstration. The farmers were given exposure visit to the lawns, gardens and various places of interest in Delhi. Farmers gave a satisfactory feedback and were satisfied with the quality of training.
